Terms of Service

These terms govern your purchase and use of FinderBuddy, a file utility for macOS, and the website at finderbuddy.net. FinderBuddy is made and operated by Prashant Sharma and Deepam Mishra (“we”, “us”). By buying or using FinderBuddy, you agree to these terms.

1. The product

FinderBuddy is downloadable software for Mac computers that adds everyday file tools to Finder: image compression and conversion, PDF tools, batch renaming, and more. Files are processed locally on your Mac. System requirements are listed on the Updates page.

2. Buying FinderBuddy

• Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Dodo Payments handles payment, invoicing, sales tax / VAT, and customer service inquiries related to billing and refunds.
• Price. FinderBuddy is sold as a one-time payment. The price, including any launch offer, is shown on our website and at checkout. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
• Delivery. After payment, your license key and download link are emailed to the address you provide at checkout, usually within a few minutes.
• Launch pricing. Launch prices apply to a limited number of licenses and may end at any time. Price changes never affect licenses you've already bought.

3. Lifetime license

Each purchase is a lifetime license: you can use FinderBuddy on up to 3 Macs, with no expiry and no renewal fees. It includes lifetime updates: every new version of FinderBuddy for as long as we develop and sell it. Your use of the software is governed by our License Agreement.

4. Refunds

We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, resell, or publish license keys, or use one license on more than 3 Macs
• Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the software, except where the law allows it
• Use FinderBuddy to break the law or infringe anyone else's rights, including removing protection from files you don't own or have permission to modify

6. Your files

You're responsible for the files you process. FinderBuddy is designed never to overwrite originals by default, but we recommend keeping backups of important files. We don't have access to your files.

7. Updates and support

Your lifetime license includes all updates at no extra cost. Updates may add, change, or remove features to keep FinderBuddy working well on current versions of macOS. Support is provided by email at support@finderbuddy.net.

8. Intellectual property

FinderBuddy, including its software, name, logo, and website content, belongs to us. Buying a license gives you the right to use the software under these terms. It doesn't transfer ownership.

9. Disclaimer

FinderBuddy is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to FinderBuddy is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

11. Termination

We may cancel a license that was obtained fraudulently, charged back, or used in breach of these terms. You can stop using FinderBuddy at any time.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the laws of the country where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes don't apply retroactively to purchases you've already made.
